Overview
SEO & GEO/AEO Optimizer
A specialist audit and optimization toolkit for RBA strategists, engineers, and managed-services consultants who need to improve organic search visibility and AI answer-engine presence for client DXP sites. Covers the full technical SEO surface — crawlability, metadata, Core Web Vitals, structured data — plus forward-looking Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) content strategy, and rigorous redirect QA during platform migrations.
Works platform-agnostically with adapter notes for Sitecore XM Cloud, Optimizely CMS 12+, and Umbraco 14+.
What's inside
| Artifact | Slug | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Skill | seo-technical-audit |
Full technical SEO crawl audit — metadata, canonicals, robots.txt, sitemap health, crawl budget, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), hreflang, internal linking — outputting a prioritised finding list. |
| Skill | seo-structured-data-audit |
Audit and generate JSON-LD schema markup (Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Organization, Product, HowTo, LocalBusiness, SiteLinksSearchBox) aligned with both Google Rich Results and AI citation engines. |
| Skill | geo-aeo-content-optimizer |
Analyze existing content and produce structured rewrites optimized for AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) — TLDR-first structure, expert quotes, inline citations, llms.txt generation. |
| Skill | seo-content-gap-analysis |
Identify keyword and topic gaps vs. competitors using provided crawl/keyword exports; score opportunities by volume × difficulty × business value; output a prioritised content brief backlog. |
| Skill | seo-migration-redirect-qa |
QA a redirect map before and after go-live: detect chains, loops, missing mappings, and wrong redirect types; output deployment-ready rulesets for IIS, Azure Front Door, and Nginx. |
| Agent | seo-optimizer |
Orchestration subagent that runs the full SEO audit pipeline (technical audit → structured data → GEO/AEO content audit → redirect QA) and returns a single consolidated SEO health report. |
| Command | seo-audit |
Slash-command entry point — reads available context and routes to the right skill or the full pipeline agent. |
When to use this plugin
Install this plugin on any engagement where organic search or AI discoverability is a concern:
- Pre-launch SEO gate — verify technical SEO health before a DXP go-live (Sitecore XM Cloud, Umbraco 14+, Optimizely CMS 12+).
- Post-migration validation — confirm rankings and redirect map survived a platform or URL-structure migration.
- AI search readiness — audit GEO/AEO readiness: structured data completeness, TLDR-first content structure, llms.txt, and AI-bot crawlability.
- Content strategy — identify keyword/topic gaps vs. competitors and produce a brief backlog for the content team.
- Managed services health checks — recurring (monthly/quarterly) SEO health checks against agreed KPIs.
- Core Web Vitals remediation — diagnose LCP, INP, and CLS failures and generate a sprint-ready remediation plan.

Skills
- geo-aeo-content-optimizer — Analyze existing content against GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices — TLDR-first structure, expert quotes, inline citations, entity clarity, FAQ extraction — and produce a rewrite brief or direct rewrite that improves citation probability in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot. Optionally generate an llms.txt file for the site.
- seo-content-gap-analysis — Identify keyword and topic gaps between your site and competitors using crawl exports, keyword ranking CSVs, and GSC performance data — score each opportunity by search volume × keyword difficulty × business value — and produce a prioritised content brief backlog ready for sprint planning. Use at the start of a content strategy engagement or as a quarterly operated-site opportunity review.
- seo-migration-redirect-qa — QA a redirect map before and after a DXP platform migration or site redesign — validate URL mapping coverage, detect redirect chains and loops, verify correct redirect types (301 vs. 302), check for missing high-priority URLs, and output deployment-ready redirect rulesets for IIS, Azure Front Door, Nginx, and Vercel. Use during pre-launch QA and post-launch monitoring sprints.
- seo-structured-data-audit — Audit existing JSON-LD schema markup against Google Rich Results requirements and AI answer-engine citation standards (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) — then generate corrected or missing JSON-LD for Article, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Organization, Product, HowTo, LocalBusiness, and SiteLinksSearchBox. Use before launch, after CMS migration, or as part of a GEO/AEO readiness review.
- seo-technical-audit — Full technical SEO audit from a crawl export or live URL — metadata completeness, canonicalisation, robots.txt and sitemap health, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), crawl budget, hreflang, internal linking depth — outputting a prioritised P1/P2/P3 finding list with remediation guidance. Use at pre-launch, post-migration, or as a quarterly managed-services health check.
Agents
- seo-optimizer — Orchestration subagent that runs the full SEO + GEO/AEO audit pipeline — technical audit, structured data audit, GEO/AEO content review, and redirect QA — against a site's crawl export and content, then returns a single consolidated SEO health report. Use when a comprehensive pre-launch or quarterly health check is needed.
Slash Commands
- /seo-audit — Entry-point slash command for the SEO & GEO/AEO Optimizer. Reads available context (crawl exports, GSC data, redirect maps, content files), asks one clarifying question if the scope is ambiguous, then routes to the appropriate skill or the full-pipeline seo-optimizer agent.
