Tools

A tool is an interactive deliverable you run right in the browser — a checklist, a generator, a workbook — built to carry a specific RBA workflow end to end. Unlike a skill (which Claude follows inside your conversation), a tool is a self-contained app you open, work through, and hand off.

How tools differ from skills, agents, and resources

TypeWhat it isWhere it runs
SkillA methodology Claude follows alongside youIn your Claude conversation
AgentA subagent spawned for a contained taskIn its own Claude context
ResourceStatic reference material Claude readsPassive — Claude reads it
ToolA runnable interactive surfaceIn your browser, driven by you

A skill guides you through producing something. A tool is the working surface — you drive it directly.

  1. Find it. Tools are listed on the Tools page and are searchable in the catalog search — filter the Type row to Tools.
  2. Open it. Each tool has a detail page with a Launch tool button (and a live preview). Launching opens the tool full-screen in a new tab.
  3. Work through it. Tick items off, fill fields, expand sections — whatever the tool provides.
  4. Hand it off. Tools produce a deliverable (a completed checklist, a generated file, an export) you can share with your team or client.

Tools are static, self-contained HTML — there’s no server and no account. Anything you tick off or fill in is saved in your own browser (via local storage); nothing is uploaded. Reopen the tool on the same machine and your progress is right where you left it. Clearing site data, or using a tool’s Reset button, starts over.

Because state is per-browser, progress doesn’t sync across machines or teammates — each person runs their own copy.

Many tools pair with a skill. The accessibility audit checklist, for example, has per-phase Open in Claude buttons that hand the next step to Claude with the right prompt pre-loaded — so you drive the process in the tool and lean on Claude for the heavy lifting (logging findings, generating the export, drafting the executive summary).

Tools are web-only. They aren’t part of claude plugin install — that path is reserved for plugin bundles. To use one, just open it from the catalog.

Browse them on the Tools page, or open the catalog search and filter by the Tools type.
