From inside any Claude Code session — terminal, desktop app, web app, or IDE extension:
-
Add the RBA Skills marketplace (only needed once per machine):
/plugin marketplace add rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin -
Install analytics-tag-reviewer:
/plugin install analytics-tag-reviewer@rba-ai-hub -
Activate it without restarting:
/reload-plugins
Prefer to browse and click? Run /plugin inside Claude Code to open the interactive plugin manager. It looks the same in the desktop app, web app, terminal, and IDE extensions.
-
Open the plugin manager:
/plugin - Press Tab to reach Marketplaces, choose Add, then enter
rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin. - Press Tab again to Discover. Search for
analytics-tag-reviewer, press Enter, and pick a scope (User, Project, or Local). - Run
/reload-pluginsto activate it.
If you have the Claude Code CLI installed and want to drive it from a normal shell prompt:
$ claude plugin marketplace add rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin
$ claude plugin install analytics-tag-reviewer@rba-ai-hub The next Claude Code session loads it automatically.
Overview
Analytics & Tag Implementation Reviewer
A structured audit and governance toolkit for RBA measurement consultants, engineers, and QA specialists. Covers the full analytics quality lifecycle: authoring a measurement strategy from business objectives, auditing a GA4/GTM implementation against that strategy, reviewing consent mode wiring for GDPR/CCPA compliance, detecting PII exposure risks, and producing a prioritised remediation backlog with clear owner assignments.
Works with any tag management system (GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch) and any analytics destination (GA4, Adobe Analytics, Segment). Platform-specific adapter notes are included for Sitecore, Optimizely, and Umbraco data-layer patterns.
What's inside
| Artifact | Slug | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Skill | analytics-measurement-strategy |
Translate business objectives into a complete measurement strategy — KPIs, measurement questions, event taxonomy, data-layer spec, custom dimensions, and governance — before implementation begins. |
| Skill | analytics-tag-audit |
Systematic audit of an existing GTM/GA4 setup: container health, tag/trigger/variable inventory, event and parameter completeness, duplicate firing, and mis-mapped conversions. |
| Skill | analytics-consent-review |
Audit consent mode v2 wiring end-to-end — default/update sequencing, CMP integration, tag firing guards, IAB TCF/GPP signal handling — and output a compliance gap report. |
| Skill | analytics-pii-scan |
Scan data-layer pushes, event parameters, URL patterns, and custom dimensions for Personally Identifiable Information exposure, then generate redaction tasks. |
| Skill | analytics-remediation-backlog |
Consolidate audit findings from one or more review skills into a prioritised, owner-assigned remediation backlog with severity ratings and effort estimates. |
| Agent | analytics-reviewer |
Orchestration subagent that runs the full audit pipeline (tag audit → consent review → PII scan → remediation backlog) and returns a single consolidated report. |
| Command | analytics-review |
Slash-command entry point: reads available context (GTM export, data-layer spec, measurement strategy) and routes to the appropriate skill or the full-pipeline agent. |
When to use this plugin
Install this plugin for any engagement where measurement quality or privacy compliance is a concern:
- Pre-launch quality gate — verifying GA4/GTM implementation against a measurement strategy before a DXP go-live (Sitecore XM Cloud, Umbraco 14+, Optimizely CMS 12+).
- Post-migration validation — confirming that events, conversions, and audience definitions survived a CMS or tag-system migration.
- Consent mode audit — reviewing Consent Mode v2 and CMP integration ahead of GDPR enforcement or a privacy audit.
- PII exposure review — proactively scanning for personally identifiable data flowing into analytics before a security or privacy assessment.
- Managed services health checks — recurring (monthly/quarterly) tag governance reviews for client environments under RBA managed services.
- Measurement strategy — authoring a measurement strategy at the start of a new engagement to align analytics instrumentation with business objectives before any code is written.
How to install
claude plugin install analytics-tag-reviewer@rba-ai-hub
After installation, start with the measurement strategy or jump straight to an audit:
/analytics-review
/analytics-measurement-strategy <url-or-brief>
/analytics-tag-audit <gtm-export-path>
/analytics-consent-review <gtm-export-path>
/analytics-pii-scan <datalayer-spec-or-gtm-export-path>
/analytics-remediation-backlog <audit-findings-path>

Platform adapters
All skills include adapter notes for RBA's core CMS platforms:
- Sitecore XM Cloud — SXA data-layer patterns, JSS route-change events, Sitecore Personalize CDP event schema alignment
- Umbraco 14+ — Umbraco Engage analytics events, Block Editor component tracking hooks, member login/registration events
- Optimizely CMS 12+ — Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) event schema, A/B testing conversion event naming, visitor-group trigger validation
Generic adapter path documented in each skill's reference.md for other platforms (Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, WordPress, custom SPA).

Skills
- analytics-consent-review — Audits Consent Mode v2 wiring end-to-end — default/update sequencing, CMP integration, tag firing guards, IAB TCF/GPP signal handling, and regional configurations — and outputs a compliance gap report with remediation steps. Use before any GDPR/CCPA go-live, after a CMP change, or during a privacy audit.
- analytics-pii-scan — Scans GTM containers, data-layer specs, URL patterns, and event parameter values for Personally Identifiable Information exposure risk — then generates a prioritised redaction task list. Use before any analytics go-live, after a CMS migration, or as part of a privacy audit.
- analytics-remediation-backlog — Consolidates findings from one or more analytics audit skills (tag audit, consent review, PII scan) into a single prioritised remediation backlog with severity ratings, effort estimates, owner assignments, and sprint-ready ticket descriptions. Use after running any audit to produce a delivery-ready action plan.
- analytics-tag-audit — Audits an existing GTM container and GA4 implementation against a measurement strategy — inventories tags, triggers, and variables; identifies duplicate events, missing parameters, mis-mapped conversions, paused/dead tags, and configuration drift. Use when verifying an implementation before launch, after a CMS migration, or during a recurring managed-services health check.
- analytics-measurement-strategy — Translates business objectives into a complete GA4 measurement strategy — objectives, KPIs, measurement questions, event taxonomy, data-layer spec, custom dimensions, and governance. Use at the start of any engagement before instrumentation begins, or when re-baselining an existing strategy after a platform migration.
Agents
- analytics-reviewer — Orchestration subagent that runs the full analytics audit pipeline — tag audit, consent review, PII scan, and remediation backlog — against a GTM export and optional measurement strategy, then returns a single consolidated report. Use when a comprehensive implementation review is needed before launch or as a recurring managed-services health check.
Slash Commands
- /analytics-review — Entry-point slash command for the Analytics & Tag Implementation Reviewer. Reads available context (GTM export, measurement strategy, site URL), asks one clarifying question if the scope is ambiguous, then routes to the appropriate skill or the full-pipeline analytics-reviewer agent.
