Pick the surface you use. Plugins run inside Claude Code, which is available in the terminal CLI, the desktop app on Mac and Windows, the web app at claude.ai/code, and the VS Code and JetBrains extensions. The slash commands are identical on every surface.
From inside any Claude Code session — terminal, desktop app, web app, or IDE extension:
-
Add the RBA Skills marketplace (only needed once per machine):
/plugin marketplace add rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin -
Install personalization-planner:
/plugin install personalization-planner@rba-ai-hub -
Activate it without restarting:
/reload-plugins
Prefer to browse and click? Run /plugin inside Claude Code to open the interactive plugin manager. It looks the same in the desktop app, web app, terminal, and IDE extensions.
-
Open the plugin manager:
/plugin - Press Tab to reach Marketplaces, choose Add, then enter
rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin. - Press Tab again to Discover. Search for
personalization-planner, press Enter, and pick a scope (User, Project, or Local). - Run
/reload-pluginsto activate it.
If you have the Claude Code CLI installed and want to drive it from a normal shell prompt:
$ claude plugin marketplace add rbaconsulting/rba-skills-plugin
$ claude plugin install personalization-planner@rba-ai-hub The next Claude Code session loads it automatically.
Overview
Personalization & Experimentation Planner
A structured planning toolkit for RBA strategists, engineers, and optimization consultants. Covers the full experimentation and personalization lifecycle: generating evidence-backed hypotheses, defining audience segments, designing statistically rigorous test plans, specifying success and guardrail metrics, and reviewing program maturity. Platform adapters ship for Optimizely Web Experimentation, Optimizely Feature Experimentation, Sitecore CDP/Personalize, and Adobe Target.
Personalization that drives revenue starts with a hypothesis, not a feature request. This plugin enforces that discipline — every artifact it produces is traceable back to a business objective and a measurable outcome.
What's inside
| Artifact | Slug | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Skill | hypothesis-generator |
Transform quantitative and qualitative research signals into prioritized, statistically testable hypotheses using the Problem–Solution–Result (PSR) framework. |
| Skill | audience-segment-builder |
Define behavioral, firmographic, lifecycle-stage, and real-time session audiences for use in personalization and experiments across Optimizely, Sitecore CDP, and Adobe Target. |
| Skill | experiment-test-plan |
Design a complete A/B, multivariate, or feature-flag experiment — traffic split, sample size, run duration, variant descriptions, and platform-specific setup instructions. |
| Skill | personalization-measurement-spec |
Author a north-star metric, primary/secondary success metrics, guardrail metrics, and a data-collection spec so results are unambiguous before the experiment launches. |
| Skill | experimentation-program-review |
Assess an organization's experimentation program against a five-stage maturity model and output a prioritized improvement roadmap. |
| Agent | personalization-planner-agent |
Orchestration subagent that runs the full planning pipeline (hypothesis → audience → test plan → measurement spec) and returns a single, ready-to-execute experiment brief. |
| Command | personalization-plan |
Slash-command entry point: reads available context (analytics data, journey maps, stakeholder briefs) and routes to the appropriate skill or the full-pipeline agent. |
When to use this plugin
Install this plugin for any engagement where structured personalization or experimentation rigor is needed:
- DXP go-live personalization — defining the first wave of personalizations and A/B tests for a Sitecore XM Cloud, Optimizely CMS, or Umbraco launch.
- Optimization retainer work — maintaining a healthy experiment backlog with prioritized hypotheses and clear test plans for clients on RBA managed services.
- CDP activation — translating customer data platform (Sitecore CDP, Segment, mParticle) audience intelligence into targeted experiment populations.
- CRO program setup — establishing a repeatable hypothesis → test → learn → scale cadence for clients building internal experimentation capability.
- Executive reporting prep — producing measurement specs that map experiment outcomes to board-level business KPIs.
- Program health reviews — quarterly maturity assessments to benchmark velocity, statistical rigor, and organizational alignment.
How to install
claude plugin install personalization-planner@rba-ai-hub
After installation, start with a hypothesis or run the full planning pipeline:
/personalization-plan
/hypothesis-generator "<research-brief-or-analytics-url>"
/audience-segment-builder "<persona-or-journey-stage>"
/experiment-test-plan "<hypothesis-id>"
/personalization-measurement-spec "<experiment-brief>"
/experimentation-program-review "<client-context>"
Platform adapters
All skills include adapter notes for RBA's core experimentation and personalization platforms:
- Optimizely Web Experimentation — experiment setup via the Optimizely UI, Stats Engine (sequential testing), traffic allocation, audience conditions, custom events, and ODP integration.
- Optimizely Feature Experimentation — feature flags, SDK-based traffic splits, remote configuration, multi-armed bandits, and full-stack experiment setup.
- Sitecore CDP / Personalize — batch vs. streaming audiences, segment vs. real-time audience targeting, interactive and web experiment types, decisioning flows, and the Sitecore Personalize template library.
- Adobe Target — A/B, Auto-Target, Automated Personalization, Experience Targeting, and Multivariate Test activity types; Recommendations integration; Analytics for Target (A4T) reporting setup.
A generic adapter path is documented in each skill's reference.md for other platforms (LaunchDarkly, Kameleoon, VWO, Amplitude Experiment, custom in-house flag systems).

Skills
- audience-segment-builder — Defines behavioral, firmographic, lifecycle-stage, and real-time session audiences for personalization and experimentation targeting. Produces platform-ready segment definitions for Optimizely (ODP/Audience Builder), Sitecore CDP (batch and real-time), and Adobe Target — with adapter notes for Segment, mParticle, and custom CDPs.
- experimentation-program-review — Assesses an organization's personalization and experimentation program against a five-stage maturity model — covering hypothesis quality, experiment velocity, statistical rigor, organizational alignment, and platform utilization — then outputs a scored assessment and a prioritized improvement roadmap.
- hypothesis-generator — Transforms quantitative signals (analytics drop-offs, heatmaps, session recordings) and qualitative signals (user research, surveys, stakeholder input) into a prioritized backlog of evidence-backed, statistically testable personalization and A/B test hypotheses. Uses the Problem–Solution–Result (PSR) framework enforced by RBA's experimentation standards.
- personalization-measurement-spec — Authors a complete measurement specification for a personalization or experimentation initiative — north-star metric, primary and secondary success metrics, guardrail metrics, counter-metrics, and data-collection requirements — so results are unambiguous before the experiment or personalization rule launches.
- experiment-test-plan — Designs a complete A/B, multivariate, or feature-flag experiment from an approved hypothesis — covering traffic split, sample size calculation, run duration, variant descriptions, quality assurance checklist, and platform-specific setup instructions for Optimizely, Sitecore CDP/Personalize, and Adobe Target.
Agents
- personalization-planner-agent — Orchestration subagent that runs the full personalization planning pipeline — hypothesis generation, audience segment definition, experiment test plan, and measurement spec — then assembles a single ready-to-execute experiment brief. Use when a client engagement needs a complete experiment package from scratch.
Slash Commands
- /personalization-plan — Entry-point slash command for the Personalization & Experimentation Planner. Reads available context (analytics exports, journey maps, research briefs, stakeholder docs) and routes to the appropriate skill or to the full-pipeline agent for a complete experiment brief.
