# Business Strategist Playbook

Strategists define direction, align goals to outcomes, and lead Envision. You run stakeholder interviews, synthesize findings, shape recommendations, and build the Envision deck — and you back AEs on complex pursuits. This is the RBA Skills toolkit for your phases.

## Pre-Sales — outcomes-driven proof

| Reach for | Why |
|---|---|
| **case-study-writer** → `case-study-draft` | Outcomes-driven client success stories. |
| **sales-pursuit** → `one-pager-builder` | Service and offering leave-behinds. |

## Sales — shape the pursuit

| Reach for | Why |
|---|---|
| **sales-pursuit** → `capability-proposal-deck` | Capability presentation for prospect meetings. |
| **rfp-response-assistant** (`draft-rfp-section`, `draft-executive-summary`) | Formal written RFP response. |
| **sales-pursuit** → `executive-briefing-writer` | Thought leadership tailored to a specific client's situation. |

## Estimating — scope strategy work

| Reach for | Why |
|---|---|
| **estimate-sow-builder** → `build-estimate` | Effort and scope for Envision engagements. |
| **estimate-sow-builder** → `draft-sow` | Envision and strategy SOWs. |

## Envision — run discovery, present findings

| Reach for | Why |
|---|---|
| **envision-toolkit** → `stakeholder-interview-guide` | Structured discovery interviews. |
| **discovery-synthesizer** (`discovery-interview-synthesis`, `five-whys-root-cause`, `stakeholder-map`, `persona-draft`) | Turn raw interviews into insights, root causes, and personas. |
| **envision-toolkit** → `envision-findings-deck` | Findings-and-recommendations presentation. |
| **market-research-agent** (`five-forces-analysis`, `digital-maturity-benchmark`, `competitor-teardown`) | Ground recommendations in market context. |

## Strategist Tips

- **Titles must be findings, not topics.** "72% of users can't find scheduling" not "Research Findings."
- **One insight per slide.** Combining two findings dilutes both.
- **The recommendation needs three reasons why** — not just what, but why this over the alternatives.
- **Executive briefings are your best pre-sales tool.** A well-timed briefing on a topic the client is already thinking about opens more doors than a cold proposal.
